i have a murry offroad kart with a tec 6.5 ohv engine and comet torq a verter setup. my question is this i am putting a 150cc lifan engine on it with a 4 speed trany. has anyone tried this before? where can i get sprockets to replace the comet jackshaft drive?the jackshaft is a 9 tooth and the rear sprocket is a 45 tooth. should this work with another 9 tooth replaceing the commet jackshaft pully?the tires are small atv tires 18x11x8. any advise would be greatly appreicated

The Lifan has its own Final Drive gear on it as I recall, you should just have to hook that sprocket up to your axel sprocket.


I put a Lifan 250 on a Dirtbike, but it didnt have a carb, exhaust, or flywheel cover. Once I got all the parts rounded up, it was a smooth engine, loads of power.

Also, are you going to be selling the old engine? Is it an Enduro, or Power sports tecumseh?
