Starting the mini dirt bike

Postby Rish » Tue Jun 27, 2006 5:39 am

Hello i just bought a new mini dirt bike and i followed instructions and i cant seem to start the engine with the rope starter. im a newbie so i have no clue what to do ! but anyways i filled the oi and gas as instructed with the proper amount and i have turned on the gasoline switch to ON so it flows through that pipe but then i quickly closed it because there was gasoline cuming out and leaking from it.(not sure how long u keep it open) Then yea also i kept the choke open and when i pull on the rope started my bike doesnt start and engine is not running or anything! any suggestions would be great! thx

mabey since you dont understand the tecnics, you should take it to a engine shop or something like a dealer. i could tell you to rejet or tear the motor apart, but i know you probaly wouldnt understand how to rejet a carb. no offense :bom:
