how to transfer a title

how to transfer a title

Hey everyone, guess what? I just bought my first real dirt bike for my son! Sweet! BUt, how to i get the title to be listed in my name? P.S. Its a 97 pw80 yamaha.

Just go to the motor vehicle and have them turn the title over to your name.

yeah looks like thats my best bet, m gonna meet the original owner of the bike, title is in his name and have him fill in a bill of sale i made up. Thank You :)

If you have the title all you have to do is transfer it over to your name. The back should have an area that the seller fills out . That's all you need.

Thanks for all the input. I actually went to the department of revenue to find out what i had to do. I was told that there is no title for dirt bikes and atv's just sign the receit of origin and your all set. Also you only pay sales tax if you want to register the atv's for public trail use other wise you only need written permission from residents who's yard you ride on.

guess its different in PA, here we need to rip off people who live in our state because we cant find funds elsewere

i dont know i wonder what it feels like compared to 110V cause thats not all to bad for a few seconds

nope my friend cut the cord on his angle grinder cuting something with it so he wire nutted it back together and then i was using it and he didnt electrical tape them on so they vibrated off and then the grinder was running off my arm
