hello, i was just wondering if anybody has, had or knows anything about suzuki 4 wheelers. My dad bought me one yesterday for $200.00 from a friends dad and i already have one. they are both 230 quadsports. The one i had my grandfather bought new in 87 and the other one i just got is an 86. the 86 was bored out to a 250 or so and the po to the po put the standard piston in so it smoked like crazy. The guy i got it from fixed for little money and just wanted what he put into it. I got the title and registration which costs 90 bucks. Ill post pics at another time

if the airbox is under the seat take off the seat, then take the air cleaner off and spray alot of carb cleaner in and let it sit, try to start it, if it doesnt work try it again

NV, Thanks for the little push.... I finally decided to just go for the gusto and dismantled the carb gave it a good cleaning blew out all the residue and re-installed it , it started right up. Had my son riding it , so far so good.

Here is what it used to look like:

sweetness, glad that it worked for you, just make sure you check the oil now too, my one has a sticky throttle due to the fact that there is something worn in the carb

I need to find one of those $200 deals. I'm trying to find one for the motor and everyone around here think their POC is worth it's weight in gold!

Usually that is always the case. I just happened to luck out and picked up this and a go-kart in a trade for some stuff i had laying around in the garage.

I found a Honda 300 3-wheeler in town for $150. Said it needed a seat and the plastic to make it good again. All I wanted was the motor so I went and checked it out. Carb was laying beside it. The plug was out of it and water was in the cylinder. He tried to tell me all I had to do was clean it up a bit, put some oil in the cylinder, put the plug back in and fire it up. I just turned away and left.

good idea lugnutz, i tend to stay away from those "deals" as they end up costing what it would be worth to buy a running one

Best move you did was walk away. .. I'm sure you'll find a decent one in no time.

Just keep your eye open and the money in your wallet. When you see the right one you will know.
