Put a horizontal engine on a regular (pedal) bike?

But what else do I need just for it to move?

Also, add engine mount to the list... How would I make an engine plate?

flat peice of steel with the engine bolt holes drilled in it, then you weld that to the frame of the bike....

Actually,

Wouldn't it be easier to mount the engine over the rear wheel?

that is how i did it but it had a very lop sided feel and a high center of gravity

If you are planning on puting the motor under the seat, make sure you put some chain guards in your plans. It would ruin your day to get caught up in the chain. A guy in town has a bike like the one above. it was actually a Harley branded bike. That thing would haul. It was a hoot to hear him coming up the road.
