Dongfang Go Kart Dies When I press on the Gas

I just bought a 200cc Dongfang GKA go kart Saturday. When I got home I changed the oil and put new oil in it. I was riding it that day, and the next I rode it most of the day. Before I rode it Sunday, I put more gas in it and checked the oil and everything was good. Then all of sudden I was riding it and it stopped. The engine starts right up but as soon I press on the throttle it dies. It doesn’t smoke or anything. It’s brand new, it shouldn’t have any major problems. I’m not sure what’s wrong with it? I’m not an expert with go karts so if you can help me that would be great. I’m trying to learn to make sure I take as good care of it as I can.

Hi Brittanie, sounds like the carburetor could have gotten gunked up or clogged. first you should do is give the carburetor a good cleaning and see if still does the same thing. Can you provide a model number next time you respond?
