New project

Postby dcrnbrd » Wed Jul 15, 2015 11:27 am

Just need some ideas. I scored on a free go kart for the kids around the house. Been sitting in a yard for 4 years. I finally identified it as a Baja Blaster 65. Seems to be a well built kart. I got the engine to crank, runs good. I really need some parts and feedback on how well this kart performs. Thanks

Welcome. If you haven't already done so, I strongly recommend an oil change as its the best place to start. Some things aren't needed as you said it runs. What kind of parts are you needing?
Fix things even if they are not broke. Its called UPGRADES!!

Like gofastman said, Welcome aboard. Parts can be easily found for that unit. If you tells us what parts you need me or Gofastman can direct you to the proper location.

Great. I have changed oil and rebuilt carb. Had to add a different gas tank, old one had a rust hole in it. Im just going over everything now. I know the tie rod ends are shot. I am trying to get it rolling so I can figure out what needs replaced. How about bushings for the swing arms in the back. It looks like they are worn pretty bad.
