Is the 150cc in the blade sx a good reliable motor? Are parts easy to get?

Thanks

Good God DJ! You want to install a turbo on your future dune and you cant tell thats a head breather, and a 4 valve head? Jeez your screwed man! embarrased

Dirtrocks: The GY6 is a very reliable engine as long as you maintain it. And alittle performance parts added to it never hurts!

Normal engine maintenance, Oil change, if you need to , belt change, just normal stuff. Do you have or want a blade SX?

The CDI wont give you stone throwing power, but with other mods, i can hit 9k rpm's where as in a blade with just the CDI and a coil, it got to about 7k. It is unlimited RPM's, but save it for a later. If you really want the most bang for your buck, change out the rollers in the variator "driver pully". Make sure when you take it off, that you hold it togther so the rollers dont fall out and crack in half. For an ATV i'd say order 10 gram rollers. I have 10 gram's and i love them, i can still climb great, but since they are more for acceleration, it really slings you into the seat.

I wouldnt bother with the carb unless you make a custom exhaust and strap on a performance intake. And if you do those, make sure you rejet the carb.

visit my webpage at http://offroadkarter.50megs.com For my modifications. All internal parts "transmisson, not engine" will fit. The cam and rockers wont fit your engine because roketa uses a 2 stud head design, where all other companies use a 4 stud design.

Best of luck, if you have any questions just ask.

Just for clarification the variator is the "drive pulley" and the clutch side is the "driven".

and also, hill climbing and acceleration are both "benefits" of torque, so if you have good acceleration you're also going to have hill climbing power.
